My memories of Jill Marshall- mother of my best friend Sally

Created by Jo 4 years ago
My main memories of Jill go back to the 1980s when I would  spend long hours in the Marshall's home with her daughter Sally, who is still my best friend now. Jill was always kind and friendly, and seemed like a quiet, gentle soul. I also recall Jill's laugh, which was usually in response to something Sally had said or done which she'd found entertaining or funny. It was clear even then how deep, tender and abiding Sally's connection with her mother was.
This connection has never wavered, and I know that the deep sadness and loss Sally feels at the passing of her mum is immeasurable.
May you rest in peaceful eternity Jill Marshall. And thank you for giving me your daughter Sally Marshall, a beautiful wonderful kind and loving woman, who through our friendship has made my life much more liveable. I sense that the gift of who she is comes through your influence and is your legacy.
